Letter from the Principal

08.08.23

Dear Robert Smalls Leadership Academy Families,

Welcome back to an exciting new school year at RSLA! We hope this letter finds you well and eager to embark on this journey of learning, growth, and exploration in our brand new building. It is with immense joy and enthusiasm that we extend our warmest greetings to both our returning families and those joining us for the first time.

As we stand on the threshold of this academic year, we are filled with gratitude for the unwavering support you have shown to our school community. The anticipation has been building as we watched the construction of our new state-of-the-art building, designed to provide a conducive environment for your children's education and personal development. Our commitment to fostering excellence in education remains resolute, and this new space will undoubtedly facilitate the realization of that commitment.

The RSLA team has been diligently preparing for this moment, ensuring that every detail is in place to create a seamless transition for our students and families. We are confident that the modern facilities, advanced technology, and thoughtfully designed classrooms will enhance the overall educational experience and provide a stimulating setting for both intellectual and personal growth.

This school year will be marked by exploration, curiosity, and innovation. Our dedicated educators are eager to engage your children in a robust curriculum that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Alongside academic pursuits, we will continue to focus on nurturing the social and emotional well-being of our students, providing them with a strong foundation for life's challenges.

To celebrate this new beginning, we have planned a RSLA Open House event on August 17th from 5pm-7pm. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to explore the building, meet your child's teachers, and connect with fellow families. We look forward to sharing the excitement of this fresh chapter with you.

Communication between the school and our families is essential for the success of our students. Please make sure to stay connected through our website, social media platforms, and regular newsletters. We encourage you to reach out to us with any questions, concerns, or ideas you may have – your input is invaluable in shaping our school community.

Once again, welcome back to Robert Smalls Leadership Academy! Together, we will continue to create an environment where each student feels valued, challenged, and supported to reach their full potential. Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. We are excited to embark on this journey of growth and discovery with you.

Warm regards,
Bradley Tarrance Principal, Robert Smalls Leadership Academy
